What is the story of Myers Cave?
What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is anytime between 4PM and 11PM. (Early check-in requests cannot be guaranteed.)

What is provided in the cottages and lodge?

1 set of bed linens for every bed

1 set of towels for every guest (bath towel , hand towel, face towel)

All kitchens equipped with pots, pans, cutlery, plates, and glasses

All kitchens equipped with fridges, coffee makers, toasters, microwaves and kettles

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are welcomed at Myers Cave Resort. However, there is a cleaning fee of $100 per pet per stay at The Cottages and $150 per pet per stay at The Lodge.

When would my damage deposit be returned?

Damage deposit will be returned upon check-out based on your original method of payment. Please note that the refund time depends on your bank or card issuing company, if the payment was made via debit/credit.

What is the cleaning policy?

Our lodge and cottages will be cleaned prior to guest arrival and upon guest departure. 

Prior to departure, guests will need to follow the house rules on cleaning.

Can I work from the resort?

At Myers Cave Resort we can cater to the recent trend of staycation, where should you need to work, we have cottages that are catered to provide you with modern office amenities. Please mention your request at the time of booking.

Will someone be available in case of problems?

Yes, the resort is attended 24 hours.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

  • Cancellations at 60 days prior to arrival date will get a full refund
  • Cancelations at 45 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund

Are there air conditioners in the cottages?

Cottages do not typically have air Cconditioners, but we can provide portable Air Conditioners at $65 per day (weekly rates apply)

Is there mobile reception?

Mobile reception is patchy in the region, but you can set up Wi-Fi calling through our internet

Is parking available?

All guests have access to the free parking lot facing Myers Cave Resort (on first come, first serve basis).

Is there laundry?

Laundry service is not provided on-site; however, coin laundry is available nearby

Are fire pits available and is there wood for the fire pits?

Yes, there are dedicated fire pits to the lodge and cottages. You can bring your own wood for the fire pits; however, we can provide it at an additional fee.

Are BBQs available?

Yes, BBQs are available at an additional price of $40 per day.

Do you have ice fishing trips?

Yes, we do organize ice fishing trips through our ice fishing guide. We have options for day or night trips with drilled holes, baits and heating.

Day trips for trout fishing 8:00 am – 5:00 pm for $100 per person – hut not included.

Day trips for walleye, pike, ling and splake 10:00 am – 7:00 pm for $180 per person (minimum 2 pax) – hut included.

Night trips for walleye, pike, ling and splake 12 noon till next day 12 noon for $265 per person (minimum 2 pax) – hut included.

Guests to bring own bedding, head lamps, extra batteries, warm boots, snacks, fishing poles.

Can I purchase a gift certificate for a package?

Yes, you can and we have several options for packages here.

I didn’t book through myerscaveresort.com, how do I cancel my reservation?

If you booked through an online travel agent or other third-party, you are advised to contact the original booking provider for information on their policies.

Policies

Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations at 60 days prior to arrival date will get a full refund
  • Cancelations at 45 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund
  • P.S. All cancellation requests should be received by 4:00PM at the latest
Check-In & Check-Out
  • Minimum check-in age is 16.
  • Check-in time is anytime between 4PM and 11PM. Early check-in requests cannot be guaranteed.
  • If you arrive earlier than 4PM, you are welcome to walk around the resort, however, kindly keep your belongings in your car, until check-in time.
  • Check-out time is 11AM. (Late check-out requests will be accommodated when possible.
  • Any delayed check-out, except those approved by management in writing, after 11AM will be charged at additional $150 per hour of delay.
COVID-19

Based upon guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Myers Cave Resort has put in place the following measures to ensure the safety of its guests and employees:

  • New protocols will minimize guest contact with personnel through a streamlined check-in and check-out process such as the use of online communication procedures and communication via WhatsApp for any requests.
  • Social distancing measures will be implemented; wellness best practices signs are prominently posted, and all brochures, magazines and papers will be removed. 
  • Enhanced and thorough cleaning protocols are implemented in guest rooms. The room, linens and all touch points, for example, faucets, door handles, light switches, and hangers are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Unnecessary items will be removed from guest rooms, such as decorative pillows. 
  • Public amenities such as swimming pools and hot tub area are cleaned and sanitized between stays. During COVID- 19, the swimming pool and hot tub area will only be accessible to lodge guests, unless the lodge is unoccupied at the time.
  • Hand sanitizer or wipes will be provided for guests
  • Myers Cave Resort cleaning staff will follow strict guidelines, including frequent hand-washing protocols, and wearing both gloves and a mask
Eco-Policy
  • Donating Trees
    • Stay a week or longer and we will donate a tree in your name at Tree Canada for the Operation ReLeaf-most in need.
  • Sustainable Water
    • 100% of our water comes from renewable sources either from underground wells or from the nearby lake.
  • Waste recycling
    • 90% of guest’s rubbish from the cottage gets recycled, at the local recycling plant. 
  • Locally provided giveaways
    • Any gifts or giveaways that our guests receive are provided by local artists of the region.
  • Eco-friendly household cleaners
    • Eco-friendly cleaning detergents are provided for our guests’ dishwashing.
  • Use of Natural Materials
    • Most of our Cottage and Lodge items are made from natural materials, for example linen, wood, iron, brass, stone and leather. 
  • Sustainable firewood
    • Our firewood comes mainly from fallen trees, gathered from the region. We do not burn coal.
House Rules
  • Smoking is not allowed on premises.
  • Pets are welcomed at Myers Cave Resort. However, there is a cleaning fee of $100 per pet per stay at The Cottages and $150 per pet per stay at The Lodge.
  • Shoes are not permitted indoors.
  • Loud noises not allowed past 10:00pm as per township rules.
  • All bedding needs to be removed by guests prior to departure and left on the beds for our cleaners to handle them.
  • All dirty towels need to be placed on the floor in the bathrooms prior to departure.
  • All dirty dishes, pans, pots, glasses and cutlery that were used by the guests need to be loaded into the dishwasher with a dishwashing pod and the dishwasher turned on prior to departure.
  • Guests must recycle their garbage and place it outside their doors at departure or every Friday between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.
  • Any borrowed DVDs and game boards need to be placed on the kitchen table prior to guests’ departure.
  • The guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property by them or their guests. This applies to any damage caused on purpose or by not being careful enough.
  • In case of emergency, our maintenance teams can enter a guest unit without the need for a written consent by the guest.
Pet Policy
  • Pets are welcomed at Myers Cave Resort. However, there is a cleaning fee of $100 per pet per stay at The Cottages and $150 per pet per stay at The Lodge.
  • Please note, that Myers Cave Resort is an open property with no gates. 
  • Also note that other guests might be present, and your attention to your pet is a must at all times.
